Briefing

Telangana occupies the northern Deccan Plateau and became India's newest state after bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh in 2014. Its capital, Hyderabad, is a major hub for information technology, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology, alongside historic landmarks such as the Charminar and Golconda Fort. The state is also known for Hyderabadi cuisine and Telangana's distinct folk and Bathukamma festival traditions.
